Many activities has been organized but this morning was the time for a race. A marathon which both females and males, JHS and SHS students from different schools as well as those who had completed registered.
Few athletes came from Kumasi and other places to make the marathon a competitive one.The dinning hall of Kintampo Senior High School was the starting point.
At 6:00am the Ghana Police escort team and the Ambulance service within the Kintampo municipality were ready to keep the route safe.
Most of the well known athletes such as Aminu Hamza, Lamisi Stephen, Joseph and John were the icons to watch even though there were other emerging athletes too.
Finally Aminu Hamza from Kintampo athletes team placed first in the race.
