Member of Parliament (MP) for North Tongu Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has said that Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta has violated the Constitution and should not only be sacked but prosecuted and jailed, he mentioned this on a metro television morning show program [Good Morning Ghana].Â
He backed this with a statement he also made via his official Facebook page saying that:Â
“Page 200 of 2021 Auditor General’s Report on General Govt reveals that a newly established COVID Secretariat at the Presidency cost taxpayers a colossal GHS12.6million just for salaries, goods, and services in 2021 alone”.
“Wasteful bureaucracy when we have a Health Ministry and a professional Ghana Health Service”
The foreign affairs committee ranking member believes the finance minister is going Ghanaians a lot of good than bad and deserves to be booted out of office with his deputies.Â
The finance minister has the bashing of Ghanaians and many seeking his ousting as the finance minister of Ghana, and this is another charge from the outspoken North Tongu law marker in the upswing to the many defaults.
