The deputy majority chief whip of parliament and the member of parliament for Tolon Constituency, Habib Iddrisu has said that calling for Akufo Addo’s impeachment is very irresponsible and should be condemned by all.
Speaking this morning on TV3 newday with Johnny Hudges, Habib Iddrisu said that everyone knows that the economy is hard but the government is working very hard to turn things around.
He therefore said that alternative solutions are what can turn the country around, but sitting aloof and politicising the condition will do no good. He said even the National Democratic Congress performed worse during their term in office but no one called for John Dramani Mahama’s impeachment.
“It is very irresponsible to say we should invoke article 69. People who are making such claims has no basis for their call to impeach the president. John Dramani Mahama performed worst but was not impeached. Bring alternative solutions and stop being political about Ghana’s situation” Habib Iddrisu told Hudges.
