The hardship in the country is becoming unbearable as most people are taking advantage of it to increase the price of items for consumers. Though there is a sharp increase in food and other items such as fuel among others but people having them in their stores is making it more difficult for the citizens. ‘Waakye’ seller has caused a lot of people to wag after pasting the new prices of her product to consumers. She seems to increase the amount she used to sell the ‘waakye’ to a certain amount.
She could not be blamed because a lot of things she uses in making the rice are more expensive on the market. The prices keep increasing day in and out and for that matter, if care is not taken she could run at a loss after selling her product. ‘Jollof’ rice is made from a combined stew of rice and may cost more if the seller does not take care of how she sells it to her customer. The food seller is asking her customers to take note of the new prices before coming in for the product. You can say the food seller is taking advantage of the hardship happening in the country but she is right because the price of cooking oil is around Gh¢1,000 and other items are required to make the food available on the table.
