A 15-year-old is currently battling to live at the Hospital after he fell in a flame of fire during a Festival at Amosima in Abura Kwamankese District of the Central Region.
It is reported that the Child fell in the fire after his acrobatics attempt while jumping over the fire during the festival.Â
The Victim, according to reports, together with some other children were emulating a group of priests who perform the act annually amidst the celebration of the festival
However, the priest failed to show up for this year’s celebrations because he was not invited and this led to the children taking it upon themselves to perform the act on his behalf, according to witness accounts.
The children began performing the act smoothly until the sad incident happened on Thursday, October 20, 2022.
While jumping over the fire from the opposite direction simultaneously two boys collided with the flame of the fire and this led to one to fall into the fire and sustained a severe injury from burns.
“He suffered burns on his ribs position, bottoms, legs, and some parts of his body”, said one of the witnesses.
