The Oti Regional Minister, Joshua G. Makuba revealed a few days ago that iron ore has been discovered in the Region.
According to him, “latest in the middle of 2023, real mining should start in the area”.
“I want to advise people in Accra to start looking for land in the Oti Region because what is going to take Ghana from our current state to a very industrialised nation has been found in the Oti Region and that is the iron ore,” he said.
Speaking to this on Peace FM‘s morning show ‘Kokrokoo‘, Senior Psychologist, Professor Joseph Osafo welcomed the news but asked the Regional Minister to ensure Ghana has a majority share.
