Berekum Chelsea plays Aduana FC in opening game of Bono region Top 4 tourney today

The first game of the specially organized Top 4 tourney for Ghana Premier League clubs in the Bono region, will be played this afternoon at the Nana Agyeman Badu (NAB) I Park, Dormaa-Ahenkro.

The Regional Football Association (RFA), has put together this event to keep their clubs busy as the betPawa Premier League on hold following the court action taken by AshantiGold SC against the Ghana Football Association (GFA).

Berekum Chelsea will take on Aduana FC this afternoon in the first game of the tournament that also features Bechem United and Nsoatreman FC.

The teams will play in a round robin contest to determine the winner of the competition as the league is on hold.

All four teams, will use this event to keep themselves ready for the resumption of the league, which was three matches old before the court action was taken against the GFA.

Today’s game at the NAB I Park, is expected to be a closely fought affair with very little to chose between the two sides at the moment.

Both Berekum Chelsea and Aduana FC, have identical records in the suspended league after winning two matches and drawing the other in the three games they have played.

This fixture, will be followed by an encounter between Bechem United and Nsoatreman FC at the same venue on Wednesday, with the competition set to continue next weekend.
