Hearts of Oak are in action this weekend as they take on Malian opponents, AS Real Bamako in the second preliminary stage of the CAF Conference League.
Hearts of Oak were given a pass in the first round and are therefore a step closer to the group stage of the competition should they be able to defeat their opponents.
Hearts of Oak have started this season poorly as they are without a win in their first 3 matches of the Ghana Premier League. The Phobians have already taken action against that run of form by sacking head coach Samuel Boadu. The club have also appointed ex-kotoko coach David Ocloo to take charge of the team as they continue the search for a head coach.
The Phobians are favourites heading into the game and are expected to line up in a 4-4-2 formation.
Richard Attah is expected to start in goal with Konadu Yiadom and Mohammed Alhassan the favoured centre back pairing. Dennis Korsah and Samuel Inkoom will be deployed as the full backs.
Daniel Kordie and Caleb Amankwah are expected to start in the midfield with Awako and Suraj Seidu providing support.
Poster boy Daniel Barnieh and new signing Junior Kaaba are expected to lead the team in the attack.
