Johnnie Hughes Sends Truth As Bitter As Bile; You Must Show Working On What You Did About That Audio

On Thursday, 6th October 2022, TV3 broadcast journalist Johnnie Hughes did a public education on the health effects of galamsey or illegal mining.

According to the senior editor of TV3, clear-cut policies must be implemented to put a stop to the galamsey as it has caused the death of several persons aside from causing cancer, holes in the heart and low fertility in men.

During his editorial on TV3’s morning show, Johnnie Hughes did not mince words at all as he expressed some thoughts on Nana Addo’s recent meeting in Kumasi about the fight against illegal mining.

“There was audio which had Hajia Alima threatening to name and shame some government officials who are engaged in galamsey”

What have the NPP government done about that audio? Was there no naming and shaming? How can we trust the President if his people are reportedly doing galamsey and are not punished?

“It is not convincing for Nana Addo to meet the traditional authorities as well as Municipal, Metropolitan and District Chief Executives (MMDCEs)”.

“We all heard that audio that indicated that a former General Secretary and Regional Chairman was into galamsey. Mr President, if you want us to trust you, you must come to the table with trust. Let us trust you by your actions, not your words”.

“Has the President said anything about the audio that mentioned that some party members were supporting with revenues from their galamsey? Why should he now appeal for support from the traditional authorities?”

Is Johnnie Hughes right in his ranting? “Why was there a meeting against galamsey when Nana Addo could have shown working by naming and shaming some of his appointees to show how poised he is against the menace?”

What are your thoughts on the ongoing discussions? Are Johnnie Hughes’s comments not truthful? Are they not as bitter as bile?
