Johnnie Hughes Vehemently Raises A Query-How Come An MP Said This?

On Thursday, 29th September 2022, TV3’s Johnnie Hughes expressed his displeasure about several issues affecting the country.

The broadcast journalist and host of the ‘New Day Morning Show’ explain how unhappy he has been about the booing of Nana Addo at the Global Citizen Festival.

Johnnie Hughes mentioned that, as much as he was not comfortable with the reactions at the event against the first gentleman of the land, he is not impressed with an MP in the aftermath of the issue.

He said that he was not enthused about a comment made by Member of Parliament for Adansi Asokwa, Honourable K.T. Hammond concerning how the youth booed the 2021 Forbes African of the year.

“I was sad that the President was booed but what K.T Hammond said about the next generation is serious. How could he have said that the next generation does not have anything in their coconut such that if the country is left for them to lead, they can not do it?”

“Who said coconut is empty? It is not empty because it has water and flesh. This is why we are unable to properly process the coconut as a country. The youth in the country are not empty”.

” Why should Honourable K.T.Hammond think the youth in the country are not capable? This is why I have said that the retirees must go for the youth to glow”.

“To say that the youth can not do anything is a Colonel Damoah mentality of describing a capable person as a small boy. This is not good for the country. This is why I insist that the elderly within 50 to 60years old should start training the youth so that as soon as they are 60years, then the older ones would retire”.

Has Johnnie Hughes made a good point? Do you agree with him on his analysis of the MP’s remarks?
