Accra Hearts of Oak have confirmed the departure of head coach Samuel Boadu, his assistant and goalkeepers trainer. Following the announcement, reports in the local media claim that the rainbow club is on the verge of hiring a technical director, head coach, assistant and goalkeepers coach.
An expatriate coach – who was spotted at the Baba Yara Stadium last Sunday – has been heavily linked to the technical director role. Reports explained that the expatriate coach was in Kumasi as part of plans by Accra Hearts of Oak to introduce him to the team later.
With the appointment of a head coach, several names have been thrown out as possible replacement to Samuel Boadu. League winning coach Prosper Ogum has been cited as possible candidate for the head coach portfolio, while other expatriate coaches have been mentioned.
Accra Hearts of Oak have picked up two points from a possible nine in the Ghana Premier League. They lost to Aduana Stars, split honors with Accra Great Olympics and Asante on match day one, two and three respectively.
