20 goals scored on second weekend of betPawa Premier League as 3 clubs keep 100% record

There were 20 goals scored on the second weekend of the ongoing betPawa Premier League in Ghana as the 2022/23 season continued last weekend.

Aduana FC, Dreams FC and Medeama SC, all have hundred percent records after winning their opening two matches of the season.

In the eight matches played between last Friday and yesterday (Monday), there were four home wins, two away wins and two drawn games.

At the Nana Konamansah Park, Nsoatre, Nsoatreman FC posted their first ever win in the Ghanaian top-flight with a 1-0 home win over Bibiani Gold Stars as Samuel Ofori converted a 70′ penalty to win all three points.

Accra Lions won 2-1 against Karela United at the Accra Sports Stadium as Samuel Gyimah, 24′ and Daniel Awuni, 26′, scored for the home side before Enock Agblenyo, 71′, got a consolation for the away side.

At the Theatre of Dreams Park, Dawu, Dreams FC beat Oda Kotoku Royals 1-0 with Ali Huzaf getting the lone goal in the 71′.

Medeama SC posted a 3-2 home win over Real Tamale United, (RTU) at the Akoon Park, Tarkwa.

A brace by Kwasi Donsu (41′ and 89′) and Kofi Asmah, 74′, won all three points for the home side. Issah Kuka’s brace in the 51′ and 58′, were not enough for the visitors.

Debutants Tamale City lost for the second game running with a 0-1 defeat at home to Legon Cities at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium in Tamale as Ahmed Rahman’s 77′ strike won all three points.

The capital derby between Accra Hearts of Oak and Accra Great Olympics ended 1-1 at the Accra Sports Stadium with Konadu Yiadom scoring an 89′ equalizer for the Phobians after Razak Yussif had opened the scoring for the Wonder Club in the 8′.

FC Samartex 1996 and Berekum Chelsea, drew 1-1 at the Akoon Park. Seidu Abubakar scored for Samartex with Mezack Asante on target for the visitors.

King Faisal Babes lost their second game after going down 2-3 at home to Aduana FC at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi.

Mohammed Haruna and Elias Elias, scored for the home side with Bright Adjei, Kwame Adom Frimpong and Solomon Aboagye on target for the winners.

The league will continue with the Mtachday Three fixtures this weekend.
