Brain Drain Occurs As Over 3000 Nurses Leave Ghana To Canada, United Kingdom And US

Ghana can boast of several graduates who may or may not be engaged in any income-generating ventures. There are valuable brains such as nurses and doctors who are not excited about the poor employment situation.

How can the government reduce the huge unemployment situation facing the country?

Would it be advisable for the government to open more hospitals and nurses?

Well, TV3 Ghana posted a news item about how Ghana suffers from a brain resulting from the decision of over 3000 nurses as they leave Ghana for Canada, the UK and the U.S.

Many Ghanaians have reacted to the post as some citizens complained about the alarming rate of the unemployment rate and are excited that these 3000 nurses have found jobs outside the borders of the country.

Other Ghanaians also prayed that government should improve the lives of the citizens to enable the prevention of a brain drain.

What are your thoughts on the ongoing discussion?
