Ghanaians Reveal The Aspect Of Ghana’s Democracy That Should Be Improved

According to the sixteenth president of the United States, Abraham Lincoln, Democracy is a government for the people, by the people and for the people.

Democracy has certain features such as the use of elections to appoint a leader for the administrative running of the country. It also encourages a separation of powers amongst the various arms of parliament.

In Ghana, there is a constitution, known as the 1992 Constitution of Ghana, that seeks to uphold the democracy inherent in the country.

TV3 Ghana noted that Thursday 15th September 2022 is being celebrated as International Democracy Day.

The media station asked viewers to indicate what aspect of Ghana’s democracy that should be reviewed.

Well, many Ghanaians vented their spleen about the prevailing issues surrounding the exgratia payment, Article 71 and others.

Some Ghanaians pointed out that the Emil Short Commission has put together several reforms that are yet to be implemented.
