Some artists attacked me with juju which is why I could not make any hit song after Yenko Nkoa- Edowodzi » ™

Singer Raymond Gbede, whose showbiz name is Edowodzi has attributed his long absence in the music industry to spiritual attacks he received from his colleagues after his breakthrough song, Yenko Nkoaa produced back in 2011.

Edowodzi discussed his struggles after releasing the aforementioned hit song in an interview with Nana Adjoa Arthur, host of Yenko Fie on Connect 97.1 FM.

“I suddenly fell sick after 1 signed a contract to tour the USA and 19 other countries after I released ‘Yenko Nkoa’, but I lost the deal due to my ailment.”

He boldly said some Ghanaian artists whose names he did not mention used juju to halt his career.

He added that it took his faith in God to be saved and that this strange illness had kept him bedridden for more than two years.

“It’s not easy to be a musician in Ghana. If you are not spiritually strong, you will regret ever becoming a musician. After visiting several churches, it was revealed that some colleagues in the music industry were responsible for my suffering. I nearly died, but God saved me. in Ghana is a matter of life and death,” Edowodzi continued.

Speaking further, Edowodzi said he decided to put his music career on hiatus as a result of what he experienced in 2011.

He promised his followers that some new singles would be dropped in 2023, nevertheless.

“I’m currently working on two new singles. Hopefully, they will be out next year.”
