Ghanaian club, Kumasi Asante Kotoko can now heave a sigh of relief after knowing the venue for the preliminary CAF Champions League.
The Porcupine Warriors will face Burkina Faso football club, Rail Club de Kadiogo in the preliminary round of the CAF Champions League.
The first leg was billed to played in Burkina Faso but the Confederation of African Football did not approve any stadium in the West African nation for the game.
Rail Club de Kadiogo chose to play at the Stade de Yamoussoukro in Côte d’Ivoire but their request was rejected by the Ivorian football authority.
The Burkina Faso club have now settled on the Matthieu Kerekou Friendship stadium in Porto Novo, Bénin against Kumasi Asante Kotoko.
The first leg of the game comes up at the venu on Monday, September 12 with the second leg of the game coming up a week later at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
