Oheneyere Gifty Anti has received an honorary award at the just ended Ghana Outstanding Women Awards (GOWA).
The event organized by ASKOF Productions was the 5th edition and attracted a number of important personalities politicians and stakeholders in the creative industry.
The awards sought to confer honors on Ghanaian women who have impacted the growth of the country in diverse areas such as politics, health, education, sports and showbiz.
Oheneyere Gifty Anti was honored for her support for women and especially young ladies who are striving to become better career women.
As she marks her silver jubilee in the media industry, Oheneyere said it was the first time she really felt celebrated for her twenty five years in the industry.
“In spite of the name calling, insults, rumours, stigma, accusations, I am still standing, still relevant and still loving what I love to do 25 years on!! Thank you GOWA … this is beautiful!!,” she said.
Ketu South Member of Parliament, Dzifa Abla Gomashie, and veteran actress Grace Omaboe aka Maame Dokono were also honored on the night.
The past editions of GOWA have seen the likes of Afia Pokua (2018),Velma Owusu Bempah (2019), and Deloris Frimpong Manso, popularly known as Delay, winning the topmost award in the last two editions.
