The member of parliament for Ningo Prampram constituency, Honorable Sam Nartey George has posted a picture on his social media page(Facebook) to express some concerns about the payment of school fees.
Some private schools in Ghana have reopened school. When this happens, parents will have to pay school fees for the term or the semester. This has been a major worry to most parents because the current fees school children pay in most private schools are expensive.Â
Aside this, form one students in various senior high schools in Ghana will be returning back to school today. Thanks to president Akufo Addo’s initiative, parents won’t be paying fees. However, there are other expenses which would be paid by the parents such as money for petty expenses and cost of provisional items.
According to Sam Nartey George, God should come to the aid of these parents so that the payment of the fees wouldn’t be hard for them. Sam George also happens to be a member of parliament and he is surely a victim on this issue. Most MPs in Ghana pay schools fees of about 20 children each year with their own money.
