Hearts of Oak Finally Give up on Signing Top Defender

Accra Hearts of Oak look like starting a next season’s campaign on a blistering note having produced some good results in the pre-season exercise.

The Phobians were the toast of their fans last two seasons where they went all out to sweep the board.

They defied all odds to beat their rivals, Asante Kotoko to win their 21st league title and first in over a decade.

The Phobians also went all the way claim the MTN FA Cup after posting a spirited performance against now demoted AshantiGold in the finals of the competition.

The Phobians put up a strong performance in the finals, winning the game by 8-7 on penalty shootouts after the entire game plus extra time ended goalless at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Hearts of Oak have equally some good signings ahead of next season like they did last season.

One player they were looking to sign is former West Africa Football Academy central defender, Konadu Yiadom but that deal looks like has collapsed.

The club have registered the player per news but he unlikely to play for them in the coming season which starts on the weekend of 9-13 September.
