The Archbishop of the Catholic Archdiocese of Cape Coast, Most Rev. Charles Gabriel Palmer Buckle in his visit to Nyankumasi Ahenkro/Katakyiase Parish all in the Assin South District of the Central Region has bemoaned on the rate at which the enrollment of the Catholic Basic School is declining day in and day out.
He expressed his discomfort up on hearing such news from the Parish Council’s President, Mr. William Akompong and therefore questioned them on how and why the enrollment still keeps declining?
What has happened to our own Catholic Basic School that members of the Parish don’t want to send their wards there? He asked.
‘I will be very said to hear the the closure of the Catholic Basic school here in Katakyiase’
The Archbishop, Most Rev. Charles Gabriel Palmer Buckle therefore admonished the members of the Parish to invest in their wards and stop spending too much on funerals.
The Parish Council’s President, Mr. William Akompong also expressed his pleasure for such advise from the Most Rev. Archbishop Charles Gabriel Palmer Buckle and made a promise that, he will from time to time visit the members of the Parish to see if they putting to work the advise of the Archbishop.
