The current transfer news going on today is that, Arsenal have submitted a £20m bid to sign Aston Villa’s midfielder, Douglas Diaz. Gary Al-Smith has boldly revealed that, Arsenal is making this signing because of Thomas Partey’s injury and he fears for Partey because he might lose his position if this bid becomes successful.
According to Gary, Aston Villa have submitted an official bid to sign Wolverhampton’s midfielder Leander Dendoncker and if Aston Villa successfully signs the Belgian then Arsenal will be motivated to push for Douglas Diaz.

He also added that, Douglas Diaz will be signed if Leander Dendoncker’s move to Aston Villa happens and if these things occur then it is highly possible that, Thomas Partey might lose his position at Arsenal because Douglas Diaz is a very good defensive midfielder.
He said, ” If completed, this will give Arsenal’s charge to sign Douglas Diaz from Villa a big boost. Luiz is a defensive midfielder with similar attributes to Thomas Partey. Clearly, the Gunners are looking for backup as injuries plague the Black Stars vice captain.”
