Premier League Standing: Manchester United Takes the 5th After Leicester City Victory & “MVP”

The first Premier League mid-week fixtures of the season saw the likes of Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur miss the maximum points, likewise with Manchester City, United, Arsenal and a few others – on the winning side, here are the latest updates after Leicester City’s narrow loss to Manchester United at the King Power Stadium courtesy of Jadon Sancho lone goal.

A slow start to the season which saw their first two games result in losses against Brighton and Brentford placed them under relegation threat, Manchester United in three games have buckled up and now find themselves in the 5th position – eligible for the UEFA Europa League after week 5.

With 9 points, the “Red Devils” are a point away and 5 goals from matching 4th placed Brighton and 6 points and 11 goals to Arsenal who are currently league leaders.

Leicester City, on the hand other, after today’s loss sum up to four in a row with only one positive result -thus a draw in their opening game against Brentford and now can be located at the bottom of the table.

And as a tradition in football where the most outstanding player is awarded as Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the match – Leicester City’s defender Jonny Evans emerged sofascore most rated at 7.7 levelled with teammate Kiernan Dews bury-Hall more than any other featured player.
