Former President John Mahama has posted briefings of some comments that he made about the country’s Judiciary.
In the Former President’s words, ” there is an urgent need to repair the bad Image of the judiciary”. The former president also indicated that ” we have no hope that the current leadership of the judiciary can lead the process of change”. What does the Former President seek to indicate? Is he calling for a change in the leadership of the Independent arm of the government?
It is important to note that the Judiciary Is among the three arms of government and is responsible for the interpretation of laws. Whilst the legislature or parliament is responsible for making laws, the executive also implements the laws to ensure the separation of powers.
What evidence does the former President have to make these claims about the Judiciary? Many Ghanaians have reacted to the public discussion initiated by the former president of the country
What are your thoughts on the ongoing discussion?
