Following the successful completion of Serie A’s Round 3 yesterday night, the Team of the week have been revealed.
Eight different clubs made it based on the highest scored statistics with Napoli, AC Milan and Salernitana taking home the most featured players and Sassuolo’s Giorgos Kyriakopoulos -the Player of the Week and Lazio’s Maurizio Sarri as manager.
Goalkeeper
Protected the goal line in a goalless draw against Fiorentina, Napoli’s Alex Meret starred in the post following his impressive saves of 5 and a clean sheet.
Defence
Rafael Toloi, Min-jae Kim and Rodrigo Becao were paired in three-man defensive units. Toloi and Kim, both kept clean sheets respectively for their sides, while Becao’s brilliant assist played a huge role in Udinese’s first win of the season against Monza.
Midfield
Very explosive in the left wing, taking home the player of the week, Giorgos Kyriakopoulos is positioned equilibrium to Lecce’s lone goal scorer Gabriel Strefezza, while Salernitana’s Tonny Vilhena and AC Milan’s Charles De Ketelaere co-ordinates the central midfield.
Attack
Taking the lead in this week’s team is Boulaye Dia who scored and assisted twice as Salernitana thrashed Sampdoria at home by 3-0 and supports from Rafael Leao and Felipe Anderson as wingers.
Leao was involved in all AC Milan goals this week and Anderson a brilliant finish as Lazio edged Inter Milan.
