Krobea Kwabena Asante, aide to Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has dropped some revelations about the recent statement made by the former deputy Minister of Energy and Petroleum, John Jinapor.
John Abdulai Jinapor, former deputy Minister of Energy and Petroleum made a statement on his Facebook page on 26th August, 2022 to reveal that President Akufo Addo failed to provide portable drinking water for the people in his hometown, Kyebi when he(Akufo Addo) served as an MP and also a Minister for several years. He also added that it rather took the intervention of John Mahama to provide portable drinking water to the people of Kyebi and its environment.
“For someone who failed to provide portable drinking water for his own people as Minister and MP, until President Mahama provided portable water for the people of Kyebi, the least President Akufo Addo can do is to acknowledge the good works of his predecessor” he posted.
This message from John Jinapor has been responded by Krobea Kwabena Asante, aide to Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia. In his recent post on Facebook, Krobea Kwabena Asante made it clear that what John Jinapor said is false. He added that John Mahama didn’t provide any portable drinking water to the people of Kyebi. According to him, such project was done by Former President John Agyekum Kuffour.
“Can Jinapor provide any data from Parliament which suggest that the constituencies within that enclave got finances for potable water supply under Mahama from 24th July 2012 to 6th January 2017“
“The records available underscore the fact that John Agyekum Kufuor started the Koforidua water supply system under his watch which had Old Tafo, New Tafo, Oseim, Sokode, Suhyen, Jumapo, Kukurantumi, Aiyinasin, etc from the Akyem Abuakwa enclave benefiting through the mixed credit facility between GoG and KBC Bank in 2008” he posted.
He dropped Parliament documents to prove his point. He believes that John Mahama failed to do any water supply project in his tenure of office. Click here to read his full post on Facebook.
