The New Patriotic Party has made some important announcements about some appointments. A former executive secretary of the Danquah Institute, Richard Ahiagbah, has been appointed as the new NPP Director of Communications.
In the announcement by the party’s General Secretary Justin Kodua Frimpong, the new communications director would be assisted by six deputies namely Ernest Owusu Bempah, Kamal Deen Abdullai, Rabi Salifu, Jennifer Ofori, George Asante and Dr Asiedu Korko.
Why has the NPP appointed six deputies to assist Richard Ahiagbah? Has this ever happened in the history of the NPP? How would this strong decision affect the fortunes of the NPP?
Well, many Ghanaians have reacted to the ongoing discussion as some citizens have indicated that Richard Ahiagbah is a more competent person than many ministers or government officials.
Other Ghanaians believe that the appointment was probably done by the NPP to counter the operations of the NDC communications boss, Sammy Gyamfi. It is not clear if that is the motive for appointing six deputies to one communications boss.
What are your thoughts on the ongoing discussion?
