In the wake of economic hardships and depreciation of the cedi, Ghanaians have raised their voices and called on President Akufo-Addo to fix the country. The Akufo-Addo government itself has resisted all voices to blame itself and has rather blamed the external shocks of covid-19 and the Ukraine Russian war. Interestingly, the erstwhile John Mahama government have also been blamed for certain decisions they took while in power.
On Alhaji and Alhaji today, Saturday, August 27, 2022, Ama Pratt noted that President Akufo-Addo has lost the plot and left the country to suffer from the economic hardships that has bedeviled the country. He questioned why the government has failed to invest in development projects and yet has time to construct a national cathedral.
According to Ama Pratt, when it comes to infrastructure and improving the lives of Ghanaians, Mahama stands tall. She cited an instance where she had to seek medical assistance for her uncle and realized how transformational Mahama has been with infrastructure.
“I have never done this before anywhere. I haven’t mentioned his name and commended him for personal reasons. But today I feel compelled to do this. it is important for us as Ghanaians to appreciate John Mahama and some of the policies, plans and infrastructure he put out for us. My uncle had a situation recently and I tell you every hospital he was moved to was constructed under John Mahama.” Ama Pratt said.
This comment will be the first time the Managing Director of Pan African TV is pouring plaudits on the former president. Indeed, many have referred to John Mahama as the king of infrastructure because of the developments he brought in that area. Interestingly, Ghanaians didn’t see the infrastructural developments as enough and kicked him out.
