Former Black Stars Striker Returns to Portugal

Former Black Stars striker, Emmanuel Boateng has rejoined Portuguese club, Rio Ave ahead of the next football season.

Emmanuel Boateng has signed a two-year deal on a free transfer after leaving Chinese side Dalian Yifang following the expiration of his contract.

The former Ghana U20 attacker has previously played for La Liga club, Levante.

He is famously remembered for scoring three times against Spanish giants, Barcelona in a La Liga game seasons ago.

Boateng started his career in Kasoa, a suburb of Accra before switching to play for Leeds United now De Gunners fc at Lapaz New Market.

He was transferred to Darkuman based Charity Stars fc before moving to Portugal to join Moreirense.

He joined Rip Ave after they were impressed with his performance at Moreirense leading to they snapping him up into their fold.

He has played for the Black Stars of Ghana after a sterling performance with the junior national teams.
