Top NDC Communicator And Lawyer ‘Blows’ Up Facts; Speaks On A Serious National Issue

In planning a country, there is always the need to do things right from the foundation. The country tends to suffer various challenges when the foundation is distorted by Adhoc decisions and unrealistic promises.

The Youth Employment Agency trained more than 5000 Senior high school graduates for placement as health assistants in various chip compounds.

It is an undeniable fact that the locations of major hospitals and clinics may be far from the residents. To bring first aid and other simple medical procedures closer to the patients, the government introduced small units known as chip compounds.

Interestingly, the YEA trained more than 5000 community health assistants, to provide them with jobs. These community health nurses were provided financial clearance as far back as 2019 but they have not yet been posted into the compounds to start performing their duties.

The community nurses, however, took to the streets to picket around the premises of the Ministry of Finance to ensure that they receive attention.

Top broadcast journalist Berla Mundi was not comfortable after watching the video of the picketing nurses and she drew the attention of her panel members.

According to the NPP communicator, Ernest Yaw Kumi, the reason why the community health nurses are still unemployed is that there are funding issues regarding their employment. He encouraged them to exercise patience and wait for the best.

NDC communicator and lawyer, Edudzie Tamakloe, was not impressed with how the government takes decisions in parts. He noted that the NPP government tends to make people happy in the short run whilst exposing them to long-term pain.

The NDC communicator also indicated that matters of health should be respected by the country because no person has two lives where one life can be kept in the fridge.

Lawyer Edudzie indicated that the GRNA nurses are more qualified, but community nurses were trained with hard state resources due to the plan to use cheap labour. He indicated that highly trained professionals must handle the lives of patients.
