Ghanaians he served as anchor host of Metro TV’s Good Evening Ghana show host Paul Adom Otchere over his recent mentioning of the chief of the Asogli state Togbe Afede.
He made this statement on his official Facebook page with a 12-minute editorial video cropped out of his show containing an analysis.
Paul Adom Otchere wrote; “As we built up the data on the role of data banks and other companies who work on Eurobond, we threw a hypothetical question that what happens if Togbe Afede or Fidelity banks Edward Effa becomes the next finance minister, we also gave the example of Dr. Duffour as finance minister but owning a bank and an insurance “.
His comment and from his 12-minute video didn’t sink well for viewers who are calling him to immediately cut out the name of the revered chief and business mogul.
Here are comments drafted from his post on Facebook:
• It is high time you stop mentioning our revered chief in your unfair analysis. Concentrate on your work and leave our chief alone. Togbe doesn’t go about eating crumbs on the table of your paymasters.
• Ardent follower of Good evening Ghana and also because of the political education that comes out of every show. Lately, Paul, you’re beginning to look like fox news doing the bidding of the ruling government and that’s worrisome,
• The objective of your show is lost when you defend the ruling government too much. I am an NPP person who sometimes goes the extra mile and points out governments’ shortcomings.
• Is Togbe Afede the current minister of finance? Why then drag his name into this matter? Show some respect.
