The Deputy Nasara Coordinator for the ruling New Patriotic Party for Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai Constituency in the Western North Region, Alhaji Ibrahim Mohammed has stressed the need for the Vice President Dr Mahamud Bawumia to see to it that the Zongo Communities in the Western North Region are well improved through the Zongo Development Fund, (ZDF).
 In an interview with the correspondent the Coordinator stated that the region needs its equitable share of the Zongo Development Fund (ZDF)
This is because since the introduction of the Fund no Zongo community in the Region have ever benefited from its package deals.
Alhaji Ibrahim expressed disappointment about the manner how the party has allegedly rejected the Western North region, especially the Zongo societies in terms of developments.
He called on the party bigwigs especially the Vice President of the Republic Dr Bawumia to pay attention about the challenges that are confronting the Zongo communities in the Region and solve them before they discard the party in the 2024 general elections.
We have a big task before us in the region since no one cares about us, the Coordinator pointed out.
And hinted that they have heard about the inauguration of a new Board by the Vice President,that have been tasked to start a sixteen model schools in the country.Â
He appealed to him to ensure that the Western North zone is considered to get its fair share in the projects.
He stressed that the Zongo Communities in the region have been deprived for too long as some of them usually use their own pocket monies to do party activities, but we don’t get anything, Ibrahim reiterated.
 On behalf of his comrades, the Deputy Nasara Coordinator draws the attention of the President and his Vice to pay regard to their appeal by a way of supporting them, to help raise the image of the party at the regional level.
I can say it with authority that none of the numerous promises made to the Zongo communities within the region by the Npp have been fulfilled, Ibrahim concluded.
