The National Communications Director of the opposition National Democratic Congress(NDC), Sammy Gyamfi has finally revealed another unexpected opinion about the highest court of the land, the Supreme Court. Sammy reveals that he has no confidence in the Supreme Court and it will be very difficult for him to send any case of his to the Supreme Court.
During an interview with Adom FM today, Sammy Gyamfi boldly revealed that he has confidence in the lower courts in Ghana but with the Supreme Court, he has none. He mentioned that the Supreme Court has overseen a lot of cases involving the NDC which they didn’t give the best of judgment. He also stated that he believes in the impartiality of the High Court and other lower courts.
“ For me, I only have confidence in the lower courts in Ghana. To be more specific, I have no confidence in the Supreme Court of Ghana. That is my personal opinion. If I have any case, there is no way I will send it to the Supreme Court because I lack confidence for them. They’ve overseen a lot of cases involving the NDC which for me, they didn’t give the beat of judgment. When you talk about the 2020 election petition, Dr. Opuni’s case, and a lot of other cases. I believe in the impartiality of the judges at the High Court and that’s the fact for me.” Sammy Gyamfi boldly revealed this.
