Jail Him Immediately: Driver Who Caused The Death Of 11 Passengers Has Been Finally Arrested

The Central Regional Police Command has arrested Paul Kwah, the driver of an articulated vehicle involved in a deadly motor accident on the Cape Coast-Takoradi route on August 3, 2022.

The suspect driver, Paul Kwah, was driving a Dad Flat Body Articulated Truck No. GM 2670-12 loaded with 850 bags of cement from Takoradi to Accra, according to preliminary investigations. When he arrived in Eduagyei village, he carelessly passed some vehicles and collided with an oncoming Toyota Hiace mini bus No. WR 1347-17.

A medical officer at the Cape Coast Teaching Hospital reported that the driver and 11 passengers on board the Toyota Hiace vehicle were all killed. One female passenger who survived the collision is being treated at the same hospital.

The police are collaborating with the relatives of the deceased to identify the victims of the disaster.

While we sympathize with the afflicted families, we continue to urge all road users to be disciplined, and responsible, and to display a sense of humanity to avoid such avoidable catastrophes.
