Sad; two children locked up in room with dead parents for months in Kumasi

Sad news coming from Kumasi this evening shocked many Ghanaians. A news item shared by the Joyfm news portal on Facebook revealed a shocking situation from Garden City in which children had to leave in the same apartment with the decomposing dead bodies of their parents. According to the report, the family moved to Ghana from the Netherlands some seven years ago and stayed in a rented apartment at Makro plot No 10, a suburb of Kumasi. 

The family according to the report did not socialize with members of the community as they lived independently. But curious neighbors of the family raised eyebrows when the family was not seen or heard for months. They, therefore, reported to the Abuakwa police and upon investigation found out this horrifying story.

The two children are said to have been deprived of food and water for a long time making them dehydrated. The traumatized children who were found motionless have been admitted to the Abuakwa Poli clinic while the police have begun investigations to find out the cost of their deaths.
