Just In: Daniel Afriyie Barnieh reacts to his Norwegian side, Viking FK move

Daniel Afriyie Barnieh has turned down reports circulating on Social Media that he has signed a pre-contract with Norwegian side Viking FK.

It was reported by Accra-based Angel 102.9FM that the talented attacker will join the European side in the January transfer window if he fails to sign contract extension with Hearts of Oak.

The 21-year-old appeared on Facebook to comment on a news posted by Phobia Sports News.

Reacting to the story, Barnieh stated “False news please”.

Daniel Afriyie Barnieh, who joined Hearts of Oak in 2020 is expected to extend his contract until the summer of 2026 as his current contract is set to expire in January 2023.

The youngster has had a stellar performance since joining the Rainbows Accra Hearts Of Oak, winning the GPL, MTN FA Cup and the President’s Cup.

He also guided the Black Satellites to win the U20 AFCON in 2021 after beating Uganda in Mauritania.
