I Cried Bitterly After Receiving That News In Navrongo Prison – Kwesi Pratt Shares Saddest Moment

Kwesi Pratt is one of the popular and vociferous journalist in the country. His life has spanned so many governments and some of his hardest times came during the regime of the later Flt.Lt. Jerry John Rawlings. The managing editor of the Insight newspaper was the first guest on Kafui Dey and Thelma Tackie’s The Bold, Beautiful, Ugly and Maverick show. The show piloted yesterday with a dramatic interview with Kwesi Pratt.

According to Kwesi Pratt, he has been arrested 18 times but this hasn’t deterred him from speaking the truth. He explained that most of his sentences was because he was demanding for certain liberties at those times. Kwesi mentioned that he spent 4 months in Nsawam and 3 months at Akuse. He also mentioned that he has been detained severally at the Navrongo, Gonja Barracks, CID Headquarters. When asked his saddest moment or a time he had to cry. Kwesi narrated his ordeal at the Navrongo prison.

“I hardly cry. Yes, I hardly do, but when I received the news that my wife had given birth to my twin sons. I was in the Navrongo Prison then. That day I really cried. It was a bad day for me. I was able to see them 3 months later when I released,” Kwesi Pratt said
