Empress Gifty has been praised for speaking effusively about former president John Dramani Mahama and his wife on the occasion of their 30th wedding anniversary despite her affiliation to the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP).
Gifty who is married to Hopeson Adorye, a former NPP MP for Kpong Katamanso constituency and now the Director of Operationas – Educational Enrichment for Young Patriots, Inc, eulogised the duo and recounted how they stood by her when she lost everything.
She said it’s for this reason that she calls them her parents because they were there for her when help was not forthcoming from anywhere.
