The renowned Ghanaian gospel artiste, Minister Patrick Mensah, affectionately known as MP, has revealed the rationale behind his disability.
The disabled gospel singer, narrating why his hand is amputated on EZRA TV/FM’s Osommere program (EZRA LIVE WORSHIP), said a hunter died in their hometown called Korado in the Mfantseman district of the Central region when he was in the basic school.
According to the Ebesesa hit maker, during the funeral rites of the deceased hunter, dozens of hunters attended the funeral of their colleague, the deceased hunter.
In the course of the funeral, the hunters began to practice their custom by shooting indiscriminately at the funeral grounds.
Unfortunately, Minister Patrick said, he was hit in the hand by a live bullet.
“I was leaving with my parents at Korado in the Mfantse district. “A hunter died and in the course of his funeral rite, his colleagues hunters during their custom performance shot indiscriminately and I was hit with a live bullet in one of my hands,” MP told Rev. Okatakyie Frimpong Manso, the host of the program.
Due to the damage caused, the hand was amputated.
