Former board member of Accra Hearts of Oak Isaac Tetteh has shared his candid opinion about what could be done at club side to be able to guarantee a solid national win. He believes the league should be put in proper position to get good material for the national side. Football must be made attractive in Ghana.
“When the league is well structured, it guarantees solid national teams. “Football is all we have, they should do everything within their powers to make it more attractive. Isaac Tetteh told Graphic Sports.
Many football administrators have been speaking about what could be done to get a competitive national team especially the youth teams. In recent weeks, Ghana under 17 and 20 failed to make better impressions in their respective competitions.
The failure of these national teams have been attributed to the low performance of Ghanaian clubs. A strong domestic competition has the tendency of providing quality players to the national teams. Players from the local league will form the nucleus of these youth sides and that will guarantee a formidable national side.
