Opinion: Will Stop Anyidoho From The Humiliation?

Former President John Evans Atta Mills died some ten years ago. He is the first Ghanaian to die as president. Since his death, there has been a lot of controversies surrounding the cause of his death, funeral and other family matters. Koku Anyidoho, a former deputy General Secretary of the NDC has set himself aside to always fun the flames of the controversies using his so called Atta Mills Institute.

As the NDC plans to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the passing of its legend, Koku Anyidoho has allegedly stormed the grave of the late President to vandalize the tomb. When asked he said it was part of a renovation exercise being undertaken by his institute with the help of Nana Addo government.

This infuriated a brother of the late President Hon. Cadman Mills who described Anyidoho as bafoon. The disappointed General Secretary of the NDC did not take it lightly as he attacked the MP with unprintable words.

But social media users have expressed their disappointment in the man who was the press secretary to late President Mills.

According to Prosper Korsinah who is also a branch secretary of the NDC, Anyidoho is always humiliating himself by using the unfortunate demise of his late boss for politics. Korsinah wants someone to stop Koku from humiliating the name of the late President. He also denied the allegation that the tomb of Late President Mills was never renovated under John Mahama government. Korsinah sent this message through social media intercepted by CitizenOne.

“Why is Koku Anyidoho constantly humiliating himself and causing so much hatred for himself for just trying to use the name of our late president Atta Mills to score cheap political points. If Koku Anyidoho was minded and sincere he would had been in close touch with the family of Professor Mills in whatever goodwill he has in whatever foundation he intends to institute. All these humiliation would have been settled. The most annoying part of his selfishness and insincerity is the claim that NDC under JDM did not take care of the Asomdwe Park. I beg to differ. When Atta Mills passed away in 2012 the park was well maintained and remained in good shape during the funeral till 2016 when NDC left power. So there was no need for renovation.

When NPP took over power the deterioration started in 2018 and the NPP government never bordered to renovate it. Instead, the government deliberately left it to go bad until today when they shamelessly decided to renovate it. So why would Koku blame JDM and NDC? Koku should stop humiliating himself before someone stops him.”
