The Ghana Statistical Service has released the rankings of the most corrupt institutions in Ghana.
According to the survey they conducted, Ghana Police Service, is the most corrupt institution in Ghana. IGP Dampare’s men had a score of 53.2% to top the charts.
Ghana Immigration Service Office took the second place in the list. They had a score of 37.54 to rank as the 2nd most corrupt institution in the country.
Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) Lands Commission, Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA), Passport Agency Office, Prosecutors, Judges and Magistrates follows respectively.
Reactions
The list has caused massive reactions among Ghanaians.
“This is the evidence of where we are now as a country. This is why the politicians chose to be 99% because all the institutions that are supposed to guide them are themselves in the ditch.” A user said.
“It is never true the politicians are more corrupt than any institutions in Ghana the kind of money that pass their hands can build another country.” A user argued.
Others also questioned why teachers are included in the list. Some also asserted that, teachers aren’t corrupt but rather it is the Ghana Education Service Headquarters that is more corrupt.
