Bernard Allotey Jacobs has charged the newly elected General Secretary of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Justin Frimpong Koduah to ensure unity within the rank and file of the party.
According to him, “the burden on him now is how to unite the youth, the elderly or the rank and file of the party”.
He hoped that Justin Frimpong Koduah, popularly called JFK, will live up to the task.
Also analyzing events during the NPP National Delegates Conference which took place at the Accra Sports Stadium on Saturday, July 16, 2022, Allotey Jacobs explained it was obvious JFK would trounce John Boadu, who was standing for re-election to be the General Secretary, because the political “establishment” at the conference was against the latter.
He stated; “When JFK (Kodua Frimpong) won, the stadium became like a brass band on parade . . . it was like a volcanic eruption.”
However, he believed the delegates have picked a better replacement for John Boadu, although to him, his bet was on John Boadu to win the election.
Allotey opined that the choice of JFK is a strategic move to whip up huge support, particularly from Ashanti Region, for the New Patriotic Party as it gears up for the 2024 elections.
