The people of Suame can now heave a sigh of relief after work begins on the deplorable roads in the area. This is happening after the MP for the area who also doubles as the minister for parliamentary affairs came under attack by residents after he paid a visit to the constituency. He was pelted with sachet water by the angry residents.
What was surprising was that work began on the road the following day after the minister’s ordeal. They were able to mobilise machines and workers in less than 48 hours. Why are our leaders like this? Should this cycle be repeating itself always? Should it be that something always happens before we take action? Should violence be the only language our politicians understand?
If we continue this way, there is no way we will get to where we want to be. Let our MPs and politicians do what is right. They must strive to improve the quality of life of those that voted them into power. That is the way to go.
