The illegal mining activities in this country has reached its peak. People have taken advantage of the economic hardship and the sudden interest in the government on fixing the country on other matters.
People have hopped back to illegal mining and are destroying lands like they used to. The Ghana military decided to raid the location and arrest the people involved directly in this.
According to reports, there have been several issues not reported by the media on how the army were met. The Ghana military peacefully entered the location and were immediately mobbed by people.
Some shouted on top of their voice and were demanding the arrest of their colleague. They were met with very harsh scene and that forced them to shoot warning shots to disperse the masses that were heating up in the area.
According to the military, they did not enforce any forceful acts or take laws into their own hands. Nobody was hurt in anyway as falsely spread.
