The county has come in o a stand still as the Vice President made some claims yesterday at the inaugural ceremony of the new two technology programs at the Accra Business School. In his speech, he hammered on the importance of the effort of government pushing for digitalization in the country for which the Ghana card initiative was one.
The Ghana card is a smart card which holds almost all the needed information about the individual and can be retrieved at any point in time electronically. The Vice President stated that, Ghanaians do not appreciate the Ghana card issue to them for they do not know it’s importance. It is far better than 1000 interchanges he claimed. His claim has left many people reacting all over as some did not hesitate to lambast his without mercy.
Writing from the official twitter page of TV3 news is a trending photo of the Ghana card and what people are using it for. It has gone as much as being a challenge as some have resorted to cooking it, serving it on a plate, filing their petrol tanks with it and a whole lot. “ Well, a card that is worth more than 1000 Interchanges should be able to do all things i guess”, a concerned citizen reacted.
