The General Secretary of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Asiedu Nketiah has finally thrown his support for a top member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) going into their national executive’s elections. The NPP will be conducting its internal elections to elect new national executives for the party slated for July 15-July 17, 2022.
One of the key positions to be contested is the General Secretary position which has John Boadu, the incumbent, and several competitors. Asiedu Nketiah was asked on Joy News if he will attend the elections of the NPP? He answered that the last time he was there, Sir John lost his position as General Secretary and so he doesn’t want to go again for John Boadu to lose his position.
“ I would have loved to be at the NPP Conference but the last time I went, it led to the defeat of Sir John, so I wouldn’t want to go to see John Boadu off. Asiedu Nketiah boldly revealed this on Joy News.
He continued to reveal the NDC’s willingness to capture power from the NPP in the 2024 elections. He reveals that is the reason why they’ve delayed their internal elections and doing some underground work.
