Why Chelsea Might Not Make Top Four Despite Prediction By A Supercomputer {Opinion}

In preparation for the next 2022–23 English Premier League season, football clubs throughout the nation have been strengthening their rosters.

The reigning champions, Manchester City, have been quite active this summer, adding world-class players to their already elite squad.

As they attempt to unseat Pep Guardiola’s club, the runners-up, Liverpool, have also been conducting some extremely impressive business.

These two teams are currently the undisputed favorites to win the English Premier League next season.

A few weeks ago, soon after the fixture list was released, a supercomputer made a season-ending prediction.

The top four teams will remain the same as last season, with Liverpool, Chelsea, and Tottenham holding the spots needed to qualify for the Champions League, according to a story in The Sun UK.

Reasons Why Chelsea May Not Make Top 4

The supercomputer’s prognosis is excellent and appears to be highly plausible.

On the basis of everything that has transpired during the transfer window thus far, I do not believe Chelsea will be among the top four teams next season.

Romelu Lukaku, Antonio Rudiger, and Andreas Christensen have all left Thomas Tuchel’s squad, and their leading scorer has been loaned to Inter Milan. They have yet to make an official signing announcement.

Even though Raheem Sterling will be a terrific addition this summer, there are still a lot of holes that need to be filled, according to rumors that surfaced just hours ago.

You must admit that Chelsea’s prospects of qualifying for the playoffs are quite modest when compared to their immediate competitors for the top four, Tottenham and Arsenal.

When they had a team capable of winning the English Premier League the previous year, they had to work hard to finish in the top four.

I just feel like that might not be enough at this point in the season. With the exception of the defenders, Todd Boehly excels at securing the majority of the targets who have been associated with the team.
