Day in and day OUT, there seems to be good news for the Black with the inclusion of new players. Previously, it had been difficult getting some of these players to represent Ghana. Currently, the likes of Inaki Williams, Tariq Lamptey, Salisu Mohammed, Stephan Ambrosius and others have expressed their readiness to play for Ghana. Many have welcomed this news with great seeing it will give the coach so many options especially in attack, where Ghana has had problems since Asamoah Gyan left the team.
Aside from giving the coach different players from playing, it has also provided him the options of playing different formations which if you do a critical assessment, the players available can deliver on any day. First, the coach Otto Addo can go with a 3-4-3 formation. With this, he can start players like Alexander Djiku, Daniel Amartey and Salisu Mohammed in defence. In midfield,Thomas Partey and Baba Iddrisu can do the work while Gideon Mensah and Tariq Lamptey play as the lateral. Kudus Mohammed, Kamaldeen Sulemana, and Inaki Williams can play in the attack.
The coach can have the option of playing the 4-3-3 formation or even the 4-4-2 which was the popular tactic Ghana used to play. This time either Afena Gyan or Antoine Semenyo can start. When the likes of Callum Hudson Odoi and Eddie are able to join the team, there will be several other options that can be adopted to suit the team. With the way things are going, hopefully the indefatigable technical team can do the magic in the AFCON qualifiers and the world. A lot of credit will also have to go to the administrative body, the Football Association.
What do you make of the new boys joining the team and what tactics are you looking forward to seeing? Share your viewsÂ
