Eid al-Adha is the second and biggest of the three main festivals celebrated by Muslims across the whole world. It honours the willingness of Ibrahim to sacrifice his son Ismail as an act of obedience to Allah’s command. During this festive season, Muslims sacrifice animals such as cow, sheep, goat, buffalo and camel.

Just this afternoon, one of the cows which was to be killed for the festival has run from the slaughter house to the streets of Tamale. The cow started to run after the pedestrians on the street of Tamale. The slaughterers tried their best to catch the cow but they were not able to do so.
