Amidst IMF loans and economic difficulties, Ghana is struggling to recover $2 million from the failed sky train project.
The new patriotic party has come under fire from Okudzeto Ablakwa for the misuse of funds in the purchase of a sky train on his verified Twitter account. Okudzeto asserted that the sky rail project, which was scheduled to be completed by August 2020, has sunk. Evidently, the project’s managers, Africa Investment Sky Train Consortium Holdings, did not deliver the work despite receiving a sizable payment of US $2 MILLION in 2019.
He asserted that the government did not conduct a thorough inquiry because the aforementioned lacked the necessary licenses for such operations and also the government never received consent from Parliament before commencing such a project.
In reaction to Okudzeto Ablakwa’s claims, many of his followers have commented on his post.Â
@Rudolfkwame, complained about the need to jail personalities involved for wasting such money
